Magnesium Alloy
1)Specification: In addition to the normal ingot of 7.5 ± 0.5 Kg/ P,according to customer demand a variety of content for processing of magnesium alloy ingot and formed magnesium alloy.
2)Product quality
3)According to customer demand for packaging.
4)Typical Mechanical Properties at Room Temperature
Characteristic of Magnesium alloy: Magnesium is the lightest of all the commonly used metals. The high comparative strength can be obtained when magnesium is used as an alloy with aluminum, copper, zinc and other metals. The comparative strength is higher than aluminum alloy and steel, slightly lower than fiber-reinforced plastic.
The comparative rigidity ia equals to aluminum alloy and steel, outclass fiber-reinforced plastic. The corrosion resistance is much better than carbon steel, beyond die casting aluminum alloys A380. The damping capacity and magnetic shielding performance are far superior to aluminum alloy. Magnesium alloys are processed into castings (die, sand, permanent mold and investment), extrusions, forgings, impact extrusions and flat rolled products. It can be joined by riveting or any of the commonly used welding methods. In short, magnesium is light, abundant and recyclable.Mean values obtained from separately cast test bars produced in a cold chamber machine, using a multi cavity die. 6 mm round tensile test bars (L0=50 mm) and 10x10x50 mm impact test bars. Typical mechanical properties of die cast alloys are also listed in the standards (ISO, ASTM and En).
The mechanical properties of a die-cast alloy depend strongly on the fabrication variables involved, as well as on the alloy composition.
